OUR STORY

Sydney Sports Recovery is led by experienced professional, Rachael Leek — and the minute you meet her, you understand it is her genuineness and compassion, not just her expertise that makes this centre special.

Mum of five, Rachael has built her centre from the ground up, on a foundation of values like honesty, integrity, fairness, acceptance, and the principal that ‘a laugh a day keeps the doctor away!’

She has injected years of expertise, both in a professional and personal capacity into every single aspect of the practice, ensuring every client — regardless of who treats them — knows they are being looked after by a knowledgeable and experienced practitioner and they walk away with an improved sense of well-being and a big smile on their face.

Rachael is a firm believer in the science behind what she does, and if you ask her any question about the bodies she works on every day, you will receive intelligent answers based on years of study and practice.

She is also a believer in the healing nature of solid relationships, and she takes pride in making sure all clients of SSR feel they can trust their practitioner, relate to them, and feel safe and comfortable in their care.

With a Bachelor of Health Science, Rachael is not short of a qualification and expects her team to always maintain the highest of standards. Leading by example, she complements her major qualification with:

  • A Diploma in Remedial Massage
  • Post Grad in Clinical Laser Therapy for Musculoskeletal Conditions
  • Pain and Wound Healing, Level 2 Sports Training Certificate
  • Post Grad in Clinical Laser Therapy and Intense Pulsed Light for Dermatology and Scar Repair
  • Professional Certificate of Nutritional Science and Certificate of Infant Massage

During her extensive career, she has worked with many different sporting clubs and has been exposed to many musculoskeletal conditions.

Clubs that Rachael has worked with include: South Sydney Rabbitoh’s, Cronulla Sharks, Western Bulldogs, All Blacks, Warriors, Brisbane Bronco’s, Parramatta Eels, Queensland Cowboys, West Tigers, Melbourne Storm just to name a few in her time spent with JRM.

Put yourself in good hands with the team at Sydney Sports Recovery.

I advocate for smart treatment underpinned by compassion.

“Injuries are tough. Pain is tough. Carrying a baby is tough! And that’s just a few of the challenges I help my clients with.

In approaching client therapy, I always aim to be compassionate and empathetic; to work to understand you and what makes you tick, where you’re hurting and what you want to achieve.

I use this information and my experience and expertise to create a treatment plan especially for you so you find the relief you need faster, and you get to experience a laugh or two and good story along the way!” – Rach
